I remember Kathy so much. She was a sweet gal. I believe if my memory is right and I am not having a gray moment she passed away in 1982 due to a car accident on I-5. I know it was shortly after my first love was killed on our wedding day in March of 1982. I am thinking more like around September is when she was killed. Just an awesome gal, and I know she looks down at us and will be watching us be goofy, happy, excited and so much more at our 30th Class Reunion! Kathy YOU ARE LOVED!
I remember Kathy well. She was one of the "beautiful people" who still always said hi to me at school. I remember when she died, because I was singing at Jaci Merrier's wedding - and I believe Kathy was the Maid of Honor ... and she died in a terrible car accident, I believe, on the way to the rehearsal ... because we the wedding had to be pushed back a bit. She was wonderful and full of life, and everyone was devastated. It was a wedding with a lot of mixed emotions due to her passing. I've thought of her often over the years - and what a tragedy it was.
I think of you at least every June 7th and September 17th. We had a lot of great times and a lot in common. I miss you, but you'll always be in my heart. ~~KRIS NOAHR GIBBS
I still miss you every day Kathy Jo & want you to know that your positive outlook and ability to always see the best in someone (even when I didn't deserve it) has inspired me to be a better person. Thank you for your love & friendship.
It just seems so very wrong that Kathy's name has a red rose next to it. Kathy was in a terrible car accident on the way to my wedding rehearsal dinner in September of 82. She was such a wonderful friend, and I miss her very much. I have way too many emotions to talk about it very much even though it has been almost 27 years ago. Kathy's spirit still shines bright, and her bubbly personality is what I remember most about her. We had some amazing times on Cheer as well. I dearly miss her, and treasure the wonderful but short time we had together.
