Memories: I remember you whenever I hear "Bennie and The Jets," by Elton John. You used to play it in Mr. Campbell's choir class ~~ KRIS NOAHR GIBBS
Brian always had a smile and a wry joke at the beginning of school. He made a lot of tedious school actvities worth going to. He had a warm and sensitive heart. He was someone I could talk to about anything without feeling judged.~~TERRY FARABEE STEWART
Brian was a great guy and a good musician. I remember he was an Elton John freak - taught me how to play "Bennie and the Jets" opening on the piano. I used to ride my bike out to his parent's place in Jacksonville (which was a pretty decent trek). His parents were very cool as well. I remember when I won District Solo Contest at SOSC, he came in right after me - had a good voice. I still have (somewhere) the America album he gave me for one birthday.
I remember we played in a band for a short time in Mid High - ended up doing a show at some private party with a bunch of pretty hot college girls (still not sure how we got it) - talk about feeling a bit lost .... but it was cool.
I was out of town when he died, and I'm still not sure about the circumstances surrounding his death. I'd like to know more. It was very sad. I'm not sure he realized how much he was appreciated. I wish he were still around. Miss ya pal.
Heres to you Brian!! :o) You are forever in my heart. I can't tell you how many times a month I still think of you , and missing our family get togethers!! I always envied your multiple talents , but mostly your genius on the piano. I always thought you could had been a concert pianist!! I remember when I took piano lessons all my childhood and high school years, and our families would get together for multiple potlucks at the Cossettes or Dumas household.. I will cherish those moments of singing and listening to you and your brother Stan playing duets on the piano. Listening to Glenda and Gene and my parents talking about all of us kids. Hanging out at the pool at your house with both our families for barbacues!! You honestly were my "Brother"and indearing one of that! Patty and Jack and of all of us kids still talk about your unbelievable talent! You truly are a genius musically and intellectually. I so wish we could have you back here with your family and friends. You are forever in my Heart!! Love and Huggs, Julie
