I still miss Lon and think of him almost every day. We had alot of fun in choir and hanging out at Lake of the Woods sailing and water skiing with Max, Sarah and Julie. I will never forget the day they all came up to visit Bob Matthews and I on our day off from working at the resort. It was just about dusk and they locked their keys in the trunk of the car. Needless to say, no one was all that upset as it just meant they all got to spend another night at the cabin hanging out, talking story and playing games. Lon and I worked together at the Bella Union after high school and both lived in Seattle where we spent alot of time together before he moved back East. He was my dear friend and his laughter still resounds in my heart, now, even after all these years.

FROM THE 20 YEAR MEMORY BOOK~~

What I remember about Lon was that he was always so positive. We were in choir together and theatre, so we traveled and practiced regularly for many years side by side. He had a beautiful voice. I remember his smile. He was often smiling or laughing. He just seemd to be a joyful person. I don't remember feeling particularly joyful about much in those times, but he seemed so care free and happy. He had a wicked sense of humor. He was a good friend to me back then. I hope his life and work from high school until he died was as sweet as he was. ~~GRETCHEN WOODRING SAVAGE

I remember working on plays in the room next to his garage all through grade school. Bus rides, The New York trip, every choir activity from 4th grade through 12th grade were with him. He was wonderfully talented and a beautiful person.~~TERRY FARABEE STEWART
